Job Description:

  • Work a 5x8hour day shift with potential weekend assignments based on department needs.
  • Oncall participation required as needed.
  • Block scheduling requests to be discussed with the manager.
  • Local applicants accepted; no proximity restrictions.
  • Restricted time off ideally no more than 5 days.
  • Required to arrive in the state 3 business days prior to compliance due date for fingerprinting requirements.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in laparoscopic assisted cases and various surgical procedures, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, abdominal hysterectomy, Csections, and more.
  • Experience in handling equipment like case carts, drills, and electrosurgical units.
  • Must adhere to hospital protocols and maintain professional knowledge in aseptic technique, instrument processing, isolation precautions, sharps safety, specimen handling, sterilization/disinfection, and universal protocol (Time out) procedures.
  • Orientation includes 16 nonbillable hours, and modules completed virtually on the first day, continuing annually.
