Job Summary:

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking an IT Specialist II to support our Mission Technologies division. The successful candidate will provide technical support for internal and external customers, resolving technical problems and answering queries related to computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolves technical problems and answers queries by telephone in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
  • Diagnoses, identifies, isolates and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records.
  • Maintains and updates records and tracking databases.
  • Alerts management to recurring problems and patterns of problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and five years of experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Technology to include establishing Video Teleconference (VTC), providing support to Emergency activities, performing routine and emergency actions and communications, and identifying when equipment and infrastructure is fully operational, partially operational, or not operational.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess an active TS/SCI/Polygraph.
