Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at the City of Alice. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Construction Equipment: Safely operate various types of construction equipment, including but not limited to, excavators, backhoes, and forklifts.
  • Assist in Construction Activities: Assist skilled tradespeople in construction activities, such as digging holes, running-off gutters, and trenches.
  • Set Up Barricades: Set up barricades to protect employees and the general public from construction hazards.
  • Measure and Mark: Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight lines to ensure accurate construction.
  • Level Earth: Level earth to fine grade specifications to ensure a smooth and even surface.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of industrial/utility construction work experience.
  • Qualifications: Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
