Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our kitchen staff at the beautiful Southwood Golf Course, operated by Southern Sandbaggers LLC.

The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality meals in our professional kitchen. This is a full-time opportunity with approximately 20-30 hours of work per week, with flexibility to accommodate shifts including lunch and dinner service.

About the Role
  • Prepare all menu items to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Plan food production to align with meal serving hours, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Maintain accurate records of menu items, ingredients, and portion sizes, as well as compliance with sanitation and food safety codes.
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and best practices.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in cooking or culinary arts, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and ingredient handling procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
