Apple is seeking a skilled Audio Triage Engineer to join the Audio Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for debugging and investigating software issues, building tools and systems, and using engineering analysis to solve challenging problems.
About the RoleThe Audio HAL team is at the forefront of ensuring quick resolution of bugs and debugging analysis for the developer-facing APIs for both applications and drivers. As a triage engineer, you will work cross-functionally to identify and resolve issues, collaborate with other teams, and contribute to the development of high-quality audio software.
Responsibilities- Debug and investigate software issues in the Audio HAL team
- Build tools and systems to support audio software development
- Use engineering analysis to solve complex problems
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve issues
- Contribute to the development of high-quality audio software
- 3+ years of industry experience in digital audio software and systems
- Development experience with Swift, Python, or other scripting/coding languages
- Low-level experience with C/C++
- Operating System and/or real-time systems understanding
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and ability to evaluate and identify issues at a code level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- BS or MS in CS, EE, or related field
- Passion for digital audio
