Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician to join our team at TRL Systems, Inc. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for leading the installation of nurse call, security, and fire life safety systems in healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a crew of technicians in the installation of projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, foremen, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Responsible for all project documentation, including daily summaries and final project reports.
  • Ensure all project materials and equipment are properly prepared and ready for use.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, and standards.
  • Provide system troubleshooting and make timely corrective actions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Interpret drawings and identify best methods for project completion.
  • Possess knowledge of security, nurse call, and fire life safety systems, including EST3, Lenel, and Ascom.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in construction and/or low voltage installation.
  • 3+ years of experience installing low voltage systems in healthcare environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role (4+ years preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to get vaccinations/immunizations needed to work in healthcare facilities.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Repetitive substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak.
  • Move/transport/install/remove items weighing 50+ pounds daily.
  • Drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day.
  • Work at extreme heights occasionally and in indoor environments under all temperature variations.
  • Confined spaces may occasionally be required.
  • Work in hospitals and other medical facilities with patient contact.
