Experienced Surgical Technologist for Travel Assignments

We are seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist with travel experience to join our team at St Mary Medical Center Long Beach. This role is ideal for professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Certification Requirements- BLS Certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Verification required
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the operating room, ensuring a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team during procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining surgical instruments and equipment
- Assisting with patient positioning and preparation
- Collaborating with surgeons and nursing staff
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting
- Active certifications in BLS and CST
Shifts typically run Monday through Friday, with options for 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Weekend shifts may also be available.
Unit InformationThe position is within the Operating Room unit, which features:
- 11 surgical suites staffed for 6-7 open daily
- A daily case load of 15-30 procedures
- Experience with a variety of cases, including orthopedic, neurological, and general surgeries
Orientation will be provided to ensure comfort and familiarity with the unit. No floating to other departments is required.
