Job Opportunity

Get Fresh Produce is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team at our Whitestown, IN facility. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment for our employees and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform sanitation duties, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming of warehouse and office spaces
  • Remove visible soil and dust from designated areas
  • Collect and remove refuse and recyclables
  • Follow established procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Monitor and report pest issues to management
  • Assist with chemical supply inventory and ordering
  • Notify management of any building repairs or maintenance needs
  • Perform work in accordance with SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
Requirements
  • Experience in distribution or commercial roles, preferably in food settings
  • Familiarity with food safety procedures and protocols
  • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Fluent English language skills, bilingual a plus
Work Schedule
  • Monday through Saturday, with occasional Sunday shifts
  • Start time of 6:00am until work is completed, approximately 6:00am-3:30pm
  • Holidays and Saturday shifts are required
  • Must be flexible with days and hours, subject to business needs
