Position Overview:

This role involves assisting skilled maintenance professionals by undertaking specific or general tasks of lesser complexity. Responsibilities include ensuring that workers have the necessary materials and tools, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, machines, and equipment, aiding journey-level workers by managing materials or tools, and executing other unskilled duties as directed by experienced tradespeople. The scope of work permissible for the helper varies across different trades. In certain trades, the helper's tasks may be limited to supplying, lifting, holding materials and tools, and cleaning workspaces, while in others, they may be allowed to perform specialized machine operations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Preferred: CFC Universal Refrigerant Class A certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Documented vocational training or at least one (1) year of verifiable experience in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC) sector.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license.
  • Must have and wear safety footwear that meets ASTM F standards.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a government security assessment and must consistently meet eligibility criteria for access to all designated areas.
