Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at PIH Health Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with our supervising physicians to provide high-quality patient care and coordinate treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient histories and physical exams to formulate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret laboratory results to inform patient care decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and perform procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs to promote health and wellness.
Requirements
  • Current California Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner School.
  • One to three (1-3) years direct patient care clinical gastroenterology experience.
  • Evidence of continuing education and self-development to support license requirements.
  • Board Certification: Board certified by National Certification Commission on Certification of Nurse Practitioners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in gastroenterology and GI disorders.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
