Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. Our pharmacy technicians enjoy a supportive work environment, with opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and patient-centric setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Process prescriptions, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers and patients to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and healthcare providers, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Participate in inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the pharmacy department is clean, neat, and orderly.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.

Training & Development:

Earns and maintains PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration. Attends training requested by Manager and acquires continuing education credits.
