This involves analyzing AAA games, including pre-release titles, for optimization opportunities and then optimizing our driver and shader performance for graphics rendering to improve user experience.

Our Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze AAA games for optimization opportunities
  • Optimize our driver and shader performance for graphics rendering
  • Develop internal tools and analysis capabilities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree + 1 year work experience or expected master's degree and PhD graduates in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Knowledge in programming and problem-solving skills in C/C++
  • Knowledge of the graphics pipeline, DirectX/D3D, Vulkan, or another API, and GPU shader/kernel languages
  • Knowledge of GPU architecture, SIMD parallelism, and bottleneck analysis
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in software development of 3D graphics rendering applications or drivers and/or performance optimizations
  • GPU hardware performance bottleneck analysis and performance optimizations
  • Development of shaders in HLSL, CUDA, LLVM, SPIR-V, or similar and performance optimizations
  • Development in Python and analysis of performance data
