Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida.

This position will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of patient care, collaborating with the medical staff to provide medical and nursing care, and documenting patient progress/regress according to established policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing, 2-5 years of experience as an APRN, and be licensed to practice as a Psych ARNP in the state of Florida.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Initiating and completing initial evaluations
  • Collaborating with medical staff to provide medical and nursing care
  • Documenting patient progress/regress
  • Assessing patient's need to see a medical doctor weekly
  • Providing primary care and medical treatment
  • Supervising and instructing patients in medication self-administration and health education
  • Reviewing lab results and providing treatment and/or referral as needed
  • Initiating, monitoring, and managing therapies, including pharmacotherapy per protocol as approved by the Medical Director
  • Evaluating behavioral problems and diagnosis, and making treatment recommendations
  • Ordering consults for other medical specialties as needed
