Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality client service, coordinating the auditing of financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Assess risk and design audit procedures to ensure effective engagement execution.
  • Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
  • Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, facilitating field work and monitoring productivity.
  • Maintain client relationships, understanding business developments and assessing their impact on current year audit engagements.
  • Develop others within the Firm through training, advising on career development, and participating in Firm initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry publications and share relevant information with clients.
  • Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as needed.
  • Develop a strategy to utilize relationships with external Centers of Influence to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education and stay current with GAAP and Firm standards.
  • Be willing to travel 25% of the year, depending on client needs.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree.
  • CPA or CA Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with 4+ years of team lead or in-charge experience.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Understanding of audit services, GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
  • A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple engagements.
  • Fluency in French, German, Japanese, or Mandarin, with a deep understanding of the culture and business practices within the country of fluency.
  • Proven track record of managing relationships with large non-US companies with significant operations in North America.
