Fleet Mechanic Job Description

Leaders Furniture is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining our delivery fleet in good working condition. This includes performing preventative maintenance services, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of diesel vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and ensure timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection.
  • Perform proficient inspection, diagnosis, and moderately complex repair of assigned vehicles.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  • Advises supervisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within Standard Repair Times.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
