About the Role

We're building innovative safety-enhancing technology for the aviation industry that will revolutionize air transportation. Our team of mission-driven engineers is working to create a future where air travel is safer, more convenient, and transformative. As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Reliable Robotics, you'll be part of a small, highly motivated team designing, testing, and flying advanced mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Own at least one project from early conceptual design to installation on the development aircraft.
  • Experience the full hardware development cycle, contributing to our automated flight systems.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team to design, test, and integrate mechanical systems.
Requirements
  • Junior or Senior standing in a 4-year college degree program in mechanical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals - statics, dynamics, and materials.
  • Experience in NX or similar CAD software and Simcenter or similar FEA packages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on application of mechanical systems through classes, clubs, or hobbies.
  • Experience applying both hand calcs and FEM to predict failure modes.
  • Excellent measurement, technical writing, and data analysis skills.
