Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist Apprentice to join our team. As a Machinist Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and learn from experienced professionals in the field of CNC manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various machines, including manual and CNC machines
  • Inspect work using gaging and inspection devices to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Perform basic machine maintenance duties, such as oiling and greasing, emptying waste wire and chips, cleaning tanks, etc.
  • Meet productivity and quality expectations and strive for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Current enrollment in a CNC Technology program at a post-secondary technical college is required
  • Good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills are required
  • A willingness to learn new machining skills is required
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Frequent walking and standing
  • Occasional bending and stooping
  • Lifting, moving, and pulling up to 35 pounds
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • The noise level is moderate

Compensation and Benefits

  • $23-$24.78 per hour, plus an additional $1 per hour shift differential
