About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Deputy Project Manager to join our team at EnSafe. As a key member of our environmental consulting team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating comprehensive project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide client and project management, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive project work associated with environmental investigations and remediation oversight.
  • Lead technical teams working with our Project Managers to problem-solve, prepare plans and specifications, and meet with clients and subcontractors.
  • Develop Work Plans and/or Sampling and Analysis Plans and coordinate investigation activities (soil, groundwater, indoor air, soil gas, and stormwater sampling).
  • Conducting and managing site investigation activities (sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, and drinking water).
  • Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
  • Provide oversight to teams during field activities and regulatory reporting.
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the quality assurance/quality control of deliverables about projects and tasks self-managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others.
  • Work well with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing EnSafe clients through excellent quality of work, responsiveness, and service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Geology, Biology, or related Environmental degree.
  • EIT, GIT, P.E. or P.G. Certification is a plus.
  • 5-10 Years of relevant experience in the field of environmental assessment/remediation.
  • HAZWOPER training and certification.
  • Knowledge or experience in RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD, LTM) and documentation preferred.
  • Experience with federal projects and/or working with DoD projects.
  • Understanding of federal facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft program products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel to support ongoing environmental projects.
  • Focus on responsiveness, quality of product, and service to maintain EnSafe client relationships.
