Overview

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team at Emory University Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Document patient care in medical records.
  • Conduct patient interviews and document patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems or potential problems.
  • Perform physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
  • Assist physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.
  • Order, schedule, and/or perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • At least one year of direct experience in a high acuity clinical specialty.
  • BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required.
