Express Employment Professionals seeks a skilled Machining Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing programming, set up, and machining expertise in support of daily production and prototype.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program the laser equipment using nesting software to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Update routings for changes made to machined components and new components, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately reflected.
  • Identify new process steps to flatten or shorten route steps and BOM requirements, optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Determine routings based on engineering drawings and specifications, collaborating with engineers as needed.
  • Evaluate engineering drawings using engineering software to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Program and nest laser parts using nest software to meet production demands.
  • Explore and develop new approaches and processes to increase quality and productivity in the machine shop, driving continuous improvement.
  • Analyze blueprints to calculate correct part dimensions for tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates, ensuring precise manufacturing.
  • Ensure that the proper tooling and fixtures required are ordered and available for production, minimizing delays.
  • Makes mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts meet quantity and quality requirements, maintaining high standards.
  • Suggests design improvements or alternative methods to managers and/or design engineers, contributing to innovation.
  • Notifies supervisors of any quality concerns or delays, fostering open communication.
  • Verifies accuracy of engineering information for manufacturing, guaranteeing precision.
  • Remains flexible to shift tasks per manufacturing needs, demonstrating adaptability.
  • Works within deadlines to ensure timely deliveries, prioritizing efficiency.
  • Problem solves and communicates effectively with work teams, promoting collaboration.
  • Contributes ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes, driving excellence.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and procedures, prioritizing employee well-being.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; experience with AutoCAD/Inventor is a plus.
  • CAD/CAM experience is essential; hands-on knowledge of machining, fabricating, welding, and finishing metals is required.
  • Vessel or trailer design experience is a bonus.
  • Interpersonal, leadership, and technical skills are crucial, along with excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills is vital.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attendance records are expected.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This figure is an estimate and may vary based on various factors.
