Job Description

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled R&D Seed Technician to support global R&D for seeds and traits. The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of small material manufacturing and production, including indoor material processing and packaging activities such as receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, shipping, and other seed warehouse tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and shipping of R&D seeds and materials
  • Quality control checks to ensure standards are met
  • Operating equipment and performing preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring adherence to operational procedures within a lab or warehouse environment
  • Supporting production employees by overseeing quality functions and maintaining quality standards
  • Conducting quality assurance tasks, including routine audits and process validations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in agriculture, environmental science, or other STEM related field preferred
  • 1-2+ years of experience within a related setting required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
