Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily activities and distribute work effectively during scheduled shifts.
  • Act as a professional educator and resource for new employees, demonstrating clinical expertise and competence.
  • Provide direct patient care, management, and education, with a focus on pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Set priorities based on the situation at hand, balancing direct patient care, management, and education responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in skills applicable to designated areas within a probationary period.
  • Ability to assume Charge Nurse responsibilities and clinical expertise in area.
  • Successful completion of a management course prior to appointment, or within six months of employment.
  • Two years of RN experience or one year as a RN and two years as a LPN.
  • Two years of recent experience in specialty.
  • Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
