Job Summary:

Upper St. Clair School District is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Bus Transportation Professional to join our team. As a School Bus Transportation Professional, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport students to and from school, adhering to all traffic regulations and district policies.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
Comply with all traffic ordinances and district policies, including discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation.
Participate in on-site training and demonstrate proficiency in handling and maneuvering the school bus.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, both verbally and in writing.
Prepare reports and memos as required, and assist students on and off the school bus.
Maintain order on the school bus and clean the interior and exterior as needed.

Requirements:

Must have a current Pa Class B Commercial Driver's License with SP endorsement and air brake restriction removed.
Must pass State Skill Test and State Written Test, and maintain a valid license.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Must have no points on driving record and pass physical and drug tests.
Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, maintenance instructions, and operating manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The employee must be able to interact with the public and other workers, and have direct responsibility for the safety and well-being of others. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud, requiring the employee to raise their voice to be heard.
