Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delivery Driver/Stock Clerk to join our team at Schneider's of Capitol Hill. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers' locations within designated routes and timeframes, while also assisting with stock management and inventory control.

Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers' locations within designated routes and timeframes.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Verify the accuracy of orders and ensure that all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or discrepancies.
  • Assist with stock management, including receiving, organizing, and replenishing inventory in the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior retail and delivery experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required.
