Position Overview

As the Director of Obstetrics, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing the daily operations of the Obstetrics Unit, ensuring exceptional patient care.
  • Overseeing staffing, scheduling, and patient flow to optimize unit efficiency.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in patient care and staff performance.
  • Developing and implementing policies that adhere to healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Providing training and education to staff on the latest obstetrics practices.
  • Participating in budget management to ensure resource efficiency.
  • Monitoring patient outcomes and developing strategies for enhancement.
  • Addressing patient concerns and complaints in a professional manner.

Qualifications Required
  • Current and valid RN license.
  • BLS, NRP certifications; RNC-OB preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Perinatal/OB/LDRP nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of obstetrics practices.
  • Excellent leadership and management capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and make critical decisions.
  • Willingness to obtain certifications in NRP, BLS, STABLE, and AWHONN FHM or NCC C-EFM.
  • Experience in budget development and management.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality patient care.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
