Microsoft is a company that empowers individuals and organizations to achieve more. As an Assistant General Counsel, you will play a key role in leading the support for the Global Partner Solutions team.

About This Role

In this global position, you will manage a team of legal professionals who provide critical legal support across all aspects of our partner sales business. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Acting as the primary legal contact for the GPS team, managing key multi-faceted and sensitive legal matters, and providing counsel and actionable advice on complex interdependent issues.
  2. Identifying and anticipating highly complex legal issues and opportunities facing Microsoft, developing solutions, and leading strategic partnerships with outside counsel.
  3. Advocating for Microsoft's interests by developing relationships with various partners and driving the adoption of new tools and processes to increase operational efficiency.
  4. Ensuring a coordinated Corporate Affairs and Legal voice on high-visibility issues through collaboration with executive leadership.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Juris Doctor Degree or international equivalent degree, with at least 9 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Active license to practice law in a jurisdiction and the ability to meet admission requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
  • In-house counsel experience, people management experience, and expertise in cloud computing, AI, and other cutting-edge technologies.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $154,500 - $273,400 per year, based on your location within the United States. In the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is $199,600 - $299,400 per year.
