Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Design and Development
Engage in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems specifically for spray drying machinery. Conduct comprehensive engineering analyses and simulations to guarantee the performance and reliability of our equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise innovative strategies for process enhancements.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Oversee the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment. Formulate and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce operational downtime. Provide technical guidance and training to both maintenance and production personnel.
3. Process Improvement
Evaluate existing mechanical processes to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement. Implement engineering solutions aimed at boosting efficiency, lowering costs, and elevating product quality. Continuously monitor and assess the performance of mechanical systems, recommending upgrades or modifications as necessary.
4. Project Management
Lead engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budget constraints. Prepare comprehensive project plans, specifications, and cost assessments. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to guarantee project success.
5. Compliance and Safety
Ensure that all mechanical systems and processes meet industry standards and regulations. Foster a safety-oriented culture and implement best practices to mitigate risks. Conduct risk assessments and initiate corrective actions when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in an engineering or project management capacity, ideally within the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other engineering design tools.
- Experience with RSlogix software or PLC programming tools.
- Strong grasp of mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and project management capabilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with spray drying technology and machinery.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards in the spray drying sector.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
