About the Role

Abnormal Security is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join the Multi-Product Platform (MPP) team. The MPP team is responsible for building the infrastructure, services, and features that enable the creation and launch of new products. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, low-latency products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and engineering managers to deliver on the product roadmap and meet company-wide objectives.
  • Design and build new products and services using Python (Django) and Go, MySQL & PostgreSQL databases, ElasticSearch, Redis, and Kafka.
  • Work closely with engineering and product managers to assess trade-offs, develop plans, and build platform and foundations to enable scalable product development.
  • Optimize internal processes with automation to service customers with little to no human intervention.
  • Setup and maintain instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting for our services.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working on relevant tech stacks.
  • 1+ years of production support experience for enterprise-class customers.
  • At least 1+ years of system design experience.
