Job Title: Clinic Radiology Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Clinic Radiology Technologist to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to perform a variety of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, general fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Competently perform basic to advanced radiologic procedures, including positioning patients and selecting exposure factors.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding.
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist, communicate, and consult with physicians, working independently outside the department as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain records, enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes.
  • Serve as a technical resource, role model, and/or preceptor for students and staff, and assist with accreditation efforts.
Requirements:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety, anatomy, and radiology equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and intermediate computer skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. They will also be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day and perform tasks that require lifting, pushing/pulling, and sliding transfers.

May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids. Personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.

Must have clear speech, vision, and hearing, and operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
