Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as assisting with meals and activities.
  • Assist with vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, working with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information and responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and reporting any concerns or incidents to the nursing staff.
Requirements
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Colorado.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a CNA in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, as well as stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
