We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Server to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington at IU. As a Restaurant Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into our point-of-sale system.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction by providing attentive and friendly service.
  • Set and clear tables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stock service stations with necessary supplies, such as ice, napkins, and straws.
  • Pick up orders from the kitchen and ensure they are prepared according to our standards.
  • Prepare guest checks and process payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform other food and beverage functions, such as bartending and bussing, as needed.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to our EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment as required.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous food and beverage experience required or equivalent training.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and TIPS certification preferred.

Work Environment and Context
  • Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends and alternate shifts.
