We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Universal Health Services. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Specimen Analysis: Conduct various laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Result Reporting: Accurately report test results to healthcare professionals, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Lab Support: Assist Medical Technologists and Lead Medical Technologists as needed, providing support in laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Quality Control: Participate in quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques, technologies, and procedures through ongoing education and training.
- Education: MLT(ASCP) or equivalent certification as defined by CLIA'88.
- Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
- Technical Skills: General bench tech skills required to provide coverage in all modalities.
- License/Certification: Nevada State Licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician; ASCP or equivalent board registration upon hire preferred.
