Research Medical Center Interventional Technologist

As an Interventional Technologist at Research Medical Center, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a rapidly growing acute care facility. Under limited supervision, you will complete interventional procedures, including routine arterial and venous interventional procedures, contrast studies, and complicated interventional procedures such as stenting and cerebral coilings.
Responsibilities- Assist with the training and evaluation of Radiology School students, as applicable
- Interface with other departments, physicians, physician office staff, patients, patients' family members, and various other visitors to the facility
- Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities
- Work within the prescribed guidelines, policies, and procedures established by the department, facility, and HCA
- Comply with Joint Commission, State, and other regulatory and/or accreditation agencies in the performance of duties and adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines
- Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Two-year program or four-year BA program in Radiology Technology followed by training in interventional procedures either on the job or from an accredited program setting
- Minimum of one-year hospital department experience in arterial and venous interventional radiology
- Ability to correctly and safely operate interventional equipment, including contrast injectors, following orientation period to the department
- Ability to communicate effectively with all patients, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel
