Position Overview

Are you ready to guide a dedicated project team and independently oversee projects? As Stellix Global Services continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to take on a pivotal role in designing and implementing software solutions. In this role, you will be a vital member of a dynamic engineering team with varied expertise, providing limitless opportunities for ongoing learning and professional development. Leading DeltaV projects at client locations, you will leverage your knowledge in process control systems to effectively engage with clients, necessitating strong interpersonal skills and proficient time management to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), Detailed Design Specifications (DDS), and Test Scripts
  • Design, configure, test, and maintain DeltaV Control Systems Applications
  • Conduct site acceptance testing (SAT) and provide necessary documentation
  • Perform control system loop checks
  • Interpret piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and logic descriptions
  • Act as the overall technical lead
  • Ensure precise and timely execution of software projects
  • Enhance the engineering team's productivity through training and resource utilization
  • Establish and manage project budgets
  • Create engineering proposals based on automation
  • Effectively communicate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Supervise a team for project management and quality assurance
  • Analyze customer data to develop control strategies
  • Support Distributed Control Systems (DCS) start-up at client locations
  • Optimize manufacturing processes for daily operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field
  • Lead in developing and implementing engineering policies and standards
  • Collaborate effectively with large teams and engage in knowledge sharing
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as needed

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process automation control systems engineering, preferably with a focus on DeltaV
  • Proficiency in data collection techniques
  • Familiarity with Bus technologies and OPC communication
  • In-depth knowledge of process control principles
  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Design, test, and implement complex DeltaV Batch Unit Operations
  • Experience in field instrumentation installation and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of computer networks and cGxP systems
  • Familiarity with PLCs and various related systems and tools
