We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging examinations, including ultrasound of breasts and biopsies, MRI's, and monitoring the quality of diagnostic interpretations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including ultrasound of breasts and biopsies, MRI's, and other procedures as needed.
- Monitor the quality of diagnostic interpretations and ensure that they meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
- Pre-screen high-risk, high-cost, and high-demand examinations to ensure that they are clinically indicated and safe.
- Order CT and MRI examinations in a timely manner and document interpretations, procedures, and healthcare decisions in the electronic medical record.
- Examine, evaluate, and manage patients referred for radiology consultations and procedures as appropriate.
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
- Board certification in Radiology preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered.
- Additional board certification in Internal Medicine is preferred.
- Starting pay of $400,000.00 per year.
- Sign-on bonus and potential for annual performance bonus of up to $15,000.
- Eligibility for Education Debt Repayment Program.
- Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.
- Recruitment/Relocation Incentives available.
- Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year.
- Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care.
- Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
- CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement.
