About the Role

Big-D is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Risk Management Professional to join our team in Salt Lake City. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Safety and Risk Technical Expertise: Assist in monitoring Big-D's Safety Program, which closely tracks safety, health, and environmental conditions.
  • Implement Safety Programs: Assist in the implementation of new and/or additional programs as outlined by corporate governance.
  • Investigate Workplace Injuries: Assist in following up with workplace injuries associated with the project.
  • Ensure Compliance: Assist in ensuring drug testing is carried out on project in accordance with contracts and Big-D Policy.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience working on large commercial projects in a safety capacity.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-hour training required; OSHA outreach instructor (OSHA 500) preferred. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associated Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or other safety certifications are desirable.
  • Education: Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
