Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team at Six Flags Over Georgia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety and guest service across our park.
Key Responsibilities- Audit daily food preparation, serving, and storage to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct daily opening procedures for entertainment show areas, rides in maintenance areas, and operations to guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.
- Complete daily audits of ride operations to ensure compliance with safety and guest service standards.
- Maintain high standards for food safety and handling practices, continuously seeking ways to improve processes and training.
- Stay up-to-date on current local and national guidelines to inform training and operating protocols.
- Coordinate and complete rides, shows, aquatics, and event audits as assigned by park leadership.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with departmental leadership and local industry leaders to refine current processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance operations, safety, and maintenance practices.
- Manage food inventory and budget to minimize surplus and waste.
- Audit inventory proactively using 'first in, first out' methods and rotating when necessary.
- At least 18 years of age or older.
- Osha 10 or higher certification preferred.
- Must be ServSafe certified for Culinary Safety Specialist position.
- Comprehensive understanding of ride operations and ride safety requirements.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
- Availability to work flexible hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in training team members.
- Strong organizational skills.
