Nuclear Medicine Technologist

WATSON CLINIC is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As an Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality imaging and accurate computer processing prior to presenting images to physicians for reading.
Job SummaryThis role requires a strong understanding of Nuclear Medicine principles and practices, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively interact with physicians, co-workers, and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure good fundamental skills in Nuclear Medicine and practice radiation safety habits using time, distance, and shielding principles.
- Communicate appropriately with physicians, co-workers, and patients to ensure correct patient procedures and proper indicators.
- Perform technologist duties in assigned areas, demonstrating competence in equipment operation and current developments.
- Maintain compliance with accreditation/certification standards and oversee all aspects of assigned areas.
- Prepare new or revise existing section policies and procedures, maintaining a professional and positive manner in times of stress.
- Satisfactory completion of formal Nuclear Medicine Technology training in an AMA-approved school.
- Basic IV skills and ability to administer first aid in emergency medical situations (CPR).
- BLS certification and ACLS/CPR certification.
- Must have applicable NMTCB or ARRT(NM) registry and basic knowledge on four specialties: Breast Nuclear Medicine, DAT Scans, Nuclear Cardiology, and SPECT.
We offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus for new employees only, paid in full after passing probationary period. A two-year commitment is required. This position is perfect for a new graduate or someone with up to three years of experience under 1 year of SPECT experience.
