Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at KLA. In this role, you will work on developing mechanical models for wafer-to-wafer bonding. These models will be used in conjunction with KLA's metrology tools for measuring overlay and wafer shape. The resulting mechanical model will provide additional insight into the measurements made on these wafers and inform control strategies to improve overlay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical models for wafer-to-wafer bonding
  • Work with KLA's metrology tools for measuring overlay and wafer shape
  • Integrate models into software systems produced by KLA

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g. mechanical engineering, physics, applied mathematics)
  • Proven track record in algorithm development, computational physics, and mechanical modeling
  • Experience with simulations engines such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, and Mathematica
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Matlab and Python
