The Housekeeping Team Leader is tasked with overseeing and coordinating housekeeping operations within designated areas, while also fulfilling the responsibilities of the Housekeeping Manager during their absence.


Responsibilities:


1. Conduct daily inspections of Room Attendants' performance within assigned areas to guarantee adherence to quality standards and productivity benchmarks.

2. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, perform inspections of all VIP accommodations and communicate their status to the Front Office, in line with hotel protocols.

3. Supervise the closing procedures of floors at the end of each day, ensuring that Room Attendants' carts are organized and replenished.

4. Ensure that daily assignment records are accurately completed, signed, and submitted to the Housekeeping Office punctually.

5. Maintain strict key control measures.

6. Manage items categorized as "Lost and Found" in accordance with established guidelines.

7. Monitor the cleanliness and organization of Room Attendants' carts, linen storage areas, control closets, stairwells, and landings.

8. Oversee the daily distribution of tasks, ensuring that Room Attendants and House Attendants are assigned appropriate work.

9. Carry an active communication device to maintain contact with the Front Office and/or Engineering throughout the shift.

10. Report on the status of all out-of-order rooms under the Housekeeping Department's oversight to the Guest Services Manager, following established standards.

11. Initiate maintenance requests for repairs and follow up with Engineering until completion.

12. Assist in the training and development of Housekeeping personnel.

13. May be required to perform cleaning duties as business needs arise.

14. Ensure the completion of cleaning projects on a biannual schedule.

15. Strive to achieve overall guest satisfaction.



Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Coursework in a related field is advantageous.

At least two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred.

Previous supervisory experience is desirable.

Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.


Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, engaging with all levels of staff and guests in a courteous, friendly, and service-oriented manner.
