Position Summary
The Cabinet Parts Quality Inspector is tasked with the thorough examination and packaging of cabinet components, accessories, and hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts inspections of Dura Supreme products to ensure compliance with established quality benchmarks and specifications.
- Confirms the inspection of shipments in accordance with relevant documentation.
- Carefully wraps cabinet components, accessories, and hardware to prevent any damage during the shipping process.
- Accurately labels cartons with the appropriate move tickets and job identifiers, ensuring proper placement on the track for warehouse handling.
- Organizes daily shipments for ground transportation.
- Assembles various cabinet components using hand tools, prepares them for inspection, and addresses any non-conforming items as needed.
- Engages actively in a collaborative work team environment and adheres to quality control protocols.
- Observes all safety regulations and contributes to maintaining a secure workplace.
- Performs additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience and training.
- Six to twelve months of experience in cabinetry, with a focus on inspection.
Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with Dura Supreme Quality Standards.
- Proficient in using a tape measure in both standard and metric units.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Work Environment
Employees should be prepared to work in varying climate conditions, including heat and cold. The work environment is typically fast-paced with elevated noise levels. Exposure to paint fumes and chemicals associated with industrial painting may occur. Personal Protective Equipment, as mandated by OSHA, will be supplied by the company.
