The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced fellowship trained Microvascular Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon to join our growing faculty. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of surgeons and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Highlights:- Collaborate with a division of 4 head and neck surgeons and a department of 14 full-time physicians, 13 advanced practice providers, 9 audiologists, and 22 speech-language pathologists
- Contribute to a team that sees over 500 new cancer patients per year and performs 40-60 free flaps and 20-30 pedicled flaps on average per year
- Participate in a strong referral base from Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon Veterans Hospital, Gettysburg, and Harrisburg
- Contribute to a growing clinical trial portfolio with 5 co-op trials currently open and 3 trials in the pipeline
- Utilize a fleet of da Vinci robots at Hershey, including the da Vinci SP
- Collaborate with neurosurgery, dermatology and Mohs surgeons, plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology
- Participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education
- Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, dependent on qualifications

- M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
- BC/BE Otolaryngology and completion of a Head and Neck fellowship
- Experience treating a wide spectrum of head and neck surgical oncology, including training in microvascular reconstruction
- Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
- Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
- Excellent public schools with many ranking in the top 20% in the state

- Located in Hershey, PA with proximity to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Baltimore
