Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Vacation and/or Overnight Pet Sitter to serve clients in the Decatur and Intown Atlanta regions. This role primarily involves morning (7-10 AM) and evening (6-9 PM) visits, with services available every day of the week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct morning (7-9 AM) and evening (7-9 PM) visits to clients' homes for dog care, with more flexible scheduling for cat care. Midday dog walks may also be required.
  • Provide comprehensive pet care, including walking dogs, letting them outside, offering affection, feeding, refreshing water, and collecting mail and packages. For cats, duties include feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, and providing companionship.
  • Overnight pet sitting entails staying at the client's residence from approximately 7 PM to 7 AM.
  • Comfortably walk dogs in various weather conditions.
  • Commit to building a bond with pets, as we seek individuals who can dedicate at least one year to this role, with a preference for longer commitments.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in pet sitting, dog walking, or pet ownership is preferred.
  2. A reliable vehicle is essential, along with a smartphone.
  3. Availability during specified hours is required.
  4. Living in the vicinity is preferred to minimize travel time.
  5. Dependability is crucial, as pets rely on their sitters.
  6. Ability to follow specific instructions, as each visit has unique requirements.
  7. Availability for summer and holiday periods is important, as these are peak times.

This position is part-time and classified as an Independent Contractor role. Compensation is 45% of the fee charged to clients per visit, in addition to 100% of any tips received.
