Job Summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a skilled Truck Shop Mechanic Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our diesel and gasoline powered equipment and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts, and perform preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment available for use.
  • Repair and Overhaul: Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
  • Performance Verification: Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
  • Shop Equipment Maintenance: Ensure shop equipment is operating efficiently by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A preferred
  • 3+ years' experience in heavy duty vehicle maintenance
  • Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
