Position Overview:
First Century Bank is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to contribute to our finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
This role involves supporting the Accounting Team in ensuring that all daily and monthly financial transactions are accurately balanced and reconciled.

As a member of our accounting team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, particularly in the Fintech sector.

Essential Duties:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting daily reconciliations in various areas such as:
  • Loans
  • Mortgage Loans
  • Lines of Credit
  • Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA) and Savings
  • Certificates of Deposit (CDs) and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
  • Performing monthly reconciliations for Holding Company General Ledger.
  • Daily reconciliation of Prepaid cards and other Fintech programs.
  • Completing Month-End DDA and General Ledger reconciliations for financial institutions.
  • Analyzing data for any discrepancies or irregularities and escalating issues as necessary.

Additionally, you will:

  • Prepare and submit balancing documentation to facilitate effective audits.
  • Collaborate with loan and deposit operations to resolve exceptions promptly.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of internal DDA accounts.
  • Post daily and monthly journal entries, including those from other accounting personnel.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of prepaid accounts.
  • Generate daily reports for the accounting team as required.
  • Provide support for Accounts Payable functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that align with the role.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills.
