Job Summary

As a Pipefitting Journeyman at MTech Mechanical, you will be responsible for performing pipefitting job assignments according to our safety standards and guidelines, and within budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet all requirements of a 4-year Apprentice
  • Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and skills necessary for the complete installation of projects common to the HVAC/piping industry
  • Direct the activities of field crew members in accordance with job schedules and priorities
  • Submit daily job progress reports to supervisors as required
  • Responsible for ordering stock or fabricated materials as far in advance as possible
  • Responsible for physical jobsite organization and housekeeping
  • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of company equipment
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of labor hours
  • Responsible for instruction and on-the-job training of apprentices/crew members
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining necessary licensing/certification
Requirements
  • 4-year apprenticeship certificate or 4 years of field experience
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of pipefitting, construction practice, and safety procedures
  • Working knowledge of all relevant national and local codes and company and industry standards
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
  • Be able to reach overhead
  • Be able to work a full range of physical activity in various positions
  • Be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment
  • Be able to lift 75 pounds of weight frequently throughout the assigned workday
