We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Providence Surgery Center in Mt. Juliet, TN. As a PRN PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting pre-operative assessments, preparing patients for surgery, and monitoring patients post-operatively in the PACU.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments to ensure patients are prepared for surgery.
  • Monitor patients post-operatively, providing specialized nursing care and managing pain and discomfort.
  • Assess patient recovery and readiness for discharge, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Minimum of 2 years' of experience in preoperative and/or post-anesthesia care, preferably in a surgical setting.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
