Job SummaryWe are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Unit (PCU) team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including those who require intermediate-level care. Our unit is equipped with the latest technologies and staffed by a team of experienced nurses who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
- Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Our 16-bed Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires a high level of skill and expertise. We care for a variety of intermediate-level patients, including those who require post-CABG/Cath Lab care, respiratory support, and complicated GI care. Our team is proud to actively precept nursing students from several institutions, and many of our graduates return to the team as Registered Nurses.
