PrideStaff is seeking a skilled Medical Technician to join our team in Asheville. As a Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications as per facility protocols.
- Ensure all medication administration is done with a valid order from a licensed provider.
- Document and report any medication errors or refusals to the medical provider, guardian, and nurse manager.
- Obtain orders, administer medication, and complete thorough and accurate medication documentation to ensure compliance with licensure and accreditation requirements.
- Review orders for accuracy in the company's database and weekly medication rolls.
- Document completed tasks in the company's database, nightly email, and daily nursing report.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional needs, document, and respond appropriately.
- Obtain vital signs and complete required documentation.
- Arrange appointments with outside providers, complete documentation, and schedule transportation with residential staff.
- File and audit charts consistently.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a medical/patient care setting.
- Obtain and maintain Medication Technician certification.
- Current and active CPR certificate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Hours of Work: Saturday and Sunday - 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, Tuesday and Friday - 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Compensation: Up to $18.00 per hour
