About the Role:

As a Surgical Technologist at SSM Health, you will be responsible for providing technical support during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring the safe handling of equipment and supplies.

You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide seamless patient care and contribute to a positive surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare operating rooms, including setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, medical history, and laboratory results
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care
  • Demonstrate expertise in aseptic techniques and proper instrument handling
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited surgical tech program preferred
  • Previous OR experience or graduation from an approved surgical technician program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
